Audience measurement

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. Before you choose, storage signals remain denied: Google receives cookieless measurements only and no measurement cookie is set.

If you accept audience measurement in the Google notice, measurement cookies may be set. If you reject or withdraw consent, existing Google Analytics cookies are deleted.

You can change your choice at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of the page.

Advertising

This site is funded by Google AdSense. Before you choose, advertising signals remain denied: no advertising cookie is set and ads are not personalised from your browsing.

The Google notice lets you accept, reject or withdraw this choice at any time. Rejecting does not limit any site feature.

The cookies that are set

Five cookies in total, and not one more. The first is required for the site to work; the others only exist with your agreement.

Where the train data comes from

The timetables, delays and disruptions shown here come from public open data. They are data about trains, not about people: they contain nothing concerning you.

SNCF open data (SIRI Lite, GTFS) and geo.api.gouv.fr. Not affiliated with SNCF.

What this site does not do

There is no account: you cannot sign up, and no password is ever asked.

No session recording, no heatmap, no cross-site tracking.

No data is sold, and nothing is passed on to anyone other than what is named on this page.

The only form on the site is the search box. What you type there is used to show the result and is attached to no profile.

Partner links

Some pages contain links to a partner booking service, marked as sponsored links. We set no cookie when you click and we do not record who clicked.

Following one of those links takes you off this site: from there the rules of the destination site apply, not these.

Technical logs

Like any web server, ours writes a log of the requests it receives: IP address, page requested, date and time. It exists to run the service and protect it from abuse, not to measure audience.

These logs are kept for 30 days, then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask for access to your data, for it to be corrected or deleted, for its processing to be restricted, and you can object to that processing. For audience measurement the most direct route is the “Manage cookies” button: your refusal takes effect immediately. For anything else, write to privacy@trainendirect.com.

If the answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
